About Makrana Marble

Makrana Marble is a metamorphic rock. Only a metamorphic rock is considered as real marble in world. It is single deposit in India, so in India, Makrana is the only source for marble. All other are also good quality of stones but cannot be considered as marble as per the standard. Marble is type of a solid metamorphic rock made with mixture of very small elements of calcium carbonate powder, the age of a rock which form Marble is so old that even the newest range of Marble (in Belgium) is about One Million years old. It was formed beneath the surface of earth. Makrana Mining Area is come under the world’s oldest mountain range called Aravali Granite and Stones are also made with rock, but the difference is only that these rocks are young in age and not beneath the surface of earth. Stone and Granite take time in getting hot and cold and the room temperature of a stone or granite is much higher than actual temperature while Marble don’t take much time for getting hot and cold and Marble does not get more hotness. Marble have at least 89% of calcium carbonate while Granite have maximum 23% and stone may have maximum Calcium Carbonate of 53% of total mixture.
